ABOUT THE ARTIST

Roxi-Giuliano-mandala-artist

Hi!  My name is Roxi Giuliano.  I am a 25 year-old Los Angeles native.  I began making mandalas in 2017 during a period of intense healing.  Creating mandalas has been my refuge and the way that I process my journey ever since.

I lived in Asia (Thailand then Nepal) for about 3 years, at first to teach English, and then to study Buddhism.  I have been studying and practicing Buddhist concepts for most of my life, many of which are embedded in my art.

Each mandala I design represents an aspect of my consciousness at the time of creation.  These pieces are deeply personal portions of my life's path interpreted in mandala form.  My works often incorporate the theme of interconnection between humans and all of being, as this is the crux of my worldview.

My purpose in sharing my work is to connect through creation; to show that we are all connected, and that our paths, although they look different, are essentially one in the same.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my art with you.

Thank you for visiting the world

of Mandalas of the Path.

ABOUT THE SIGNATURE

The signature on every piece contains two aspects of my identity.

The top characters are the name I was given when I lived in China in 2017: 若仙.  They read "Ruo Xian," which translates to "like a mountain person" or "like an enlightened person."  I began making mandalas shortly after my return from China, and every work of mine is signed with these characters.

The bottom is a cursive "RG," my English initials.

The creation space for each piece shapes the final result.  From mountains to lakes to gardens to apartments, these mandalas unfolded in a variety of settings and under a variety of mindstates.  Here are a few photos of the spaces in which Mandalas of the Path came to be.
